Wine storage temperatures are set for the contents and the model, so start with your selected settings instead of comparing the unit with a kitchen refrigerator. On a two-zone appliance, identify whether one zone or both have changed.
What you can check safely
Read each zone’s setting.
Compare the selected temperatures and any displayed messages with the model’s instructions. Record the zone that is not behaving as expected.
Check door closure.
A rack or bottle can prevent the door from closing fully. Look for an obstruction and visible gasket damage without forcing a loaded rack.
Consider a recent installation or load.
Newly installed equipment and a recent load of warm bottles need time to settle. Sub-Zero’s guidance notes a 24-hour cooling period for a new installation. Follow your model’s instructions.
Distinguish temperature from condensation.
Brief condensation after opening a glass door can be different from a persistent cooling problem. Note whether moisture clears and whether the issue occurs with the door closed.
Still having this problem?
Call with your Sub-Zero model and city to discuss an assessment.
Call (510) 543-2328When to stop and call for service
Arrange an assessment if a zone remains warm, an error persists or the door will not seal. Do not remove the wine unit from cabinetry or open the sealed refrigeration system. Avoid changing settings repeatedly while trying to identify the pattern.
Details that help when you call
Tell us the model, affected zone, set temperature and when the change began. Mention whether the appliance is under-counter, full-height or integrated into cabinetry so installation access can be discussed before a visit.
Ask about appointment options, diagnostic charges and approval of any proposed repair. These checks provide context; they do not diagnose a failed part.
